I enjoyed a time where super groups didn’t exist. That was a good time in music but I don’t think we can ever go back to that time since bands like Hellyeah are still around. God, why did you have to let Hellyeah release a follow up to their shit storm self-titled release? Did I do something wrong to deserve punishment like this?

Guess I won’t get an answer so I’ll just tell you about his album. Stampede is not very good. No forget that. Stampede is not very good at all! I can’t get into the whole heavy metal and country vibe the band tries to do (only at times do they do the country thing). It is not my cup of tea and I don’t know why since I think most of the members in this band are talented.

Chad Gray still sounds out of place on this album. With Mudvayne he is at home, especially now that they are in fucksville. Gray just doesn’t make much of an effort to make things different on this record, he sounds like he does on those last few Mudvayne albums but and here is the big but, he sounds worse. I don’t want to spend too much time on this part but when you have Chad Gray mumbling something after a sound with a can of beer opening you know he sucks and the band he is in is a joke.

All of these damn songs just try to do one thing, be heavy as fuck. That is fine and all but when that is the only thing you have going then there is a problem. Even at times Vinnie Paul doesn’t do a job with his drumming, it will sound bland, along with everyone else in the band! Does Chad Gray have a virus and he passed to everyone else? We know Greg Tribbett has it since he is in Mudvayne too so everyone else must have gotten it, that’s got to be it.

Final Verdict
As much as this album sucks it is still better than the first album. In no way does that mean I am a Hellyeah fan now, I am just giving them a small amount of credit, which they really doesn’t deserve. I hope this is the last album from this super group; I really can’t afford to go through this shit again at another given point.
