Oh Christ the new album from This is Hell is fucking hell! Hardcore punk music is just not sounding good to me and I hate being this way since I actually enjoyed 2008s Misfortunes, the last album through Trustkill. Weight of the World just bores me and I wish the bands hardcore antics would cause them to call it quits.

This is Hell is full of energy on this record and I know the way they fuse hardcore with punk is amazing to some. Me on the other hand, it bores me when songs start to sound similar to me and the song length. Now I know this kind of music has short song lengths, again I’m not stupid. It’s just some of these songs get decent enough and then it is over. Why don’t you guys break down another barrier and make longer songs in the hardcore punch genre.

I must have missed the memo but Weight of the World has a good amount of solos, something that never really filled the past two This is Hell records. Not too shabby really, the solo at the end of Bloodlines was good but again I wish is was longer in length since I really got into it. No all we get is a solo that seems cut off, into Eagle of Justice.

Final Verdict
One issue and then a semi-plus…nah, still don’t like the new This is Hell album. It still bores me every time I listen to it. Fans of the band and of the genre should like it. Typical music goers might just find themselves putting something else on and forgetting about this release.
