There are some people out there who are stupid enough to say that the new Dawn of the Dead is better than the original. If that is the case here then you idiots are in luck. The Dawn of the Dead game for your iPod and IPhone will make you remember how good that remake is. Oh yes I am being sarcastic here but you asked for it any way.

At the start of the game you can select from one of the awesome characters who have their hands up, MMA style, the Salesman, the Nurse, and the Police Officer. Three of the characters from the Dawn of the Dead movie remake, all of which come with three different stats in speed, attack, and shooting. I found all of the characters to play the same really but if you swear one is different from the other than good for you.

With all of the zombie games out on the App Store, Dawn of the Dead is a dud. At no point at all is the game remotely fun. Your either outside of the mall or inside of it. Plain old boring crap and considering how the movie was you’d think they’d add a little more enjoyment to it. Who cares though everyone says the remake is better…

There are a couple of weapons to choose from in this game, none of which matter since Dawn of the Dead has some of the worst controls in iPod and iPhone history. Good luck trying to swing your weapons and you better pray to God your gun shot hits the zombies. Regardless the zombies come back right away almost so who cares.

Those controls, the ones that ruin the game, contain two pads on the left and right side. One pad will move your character while the other movies you character, spin, so you can melee your characters or shoot you gun in another direction, rather than the default one. It feels like the main part about this game is to fight with the controls and not the zombies. Nothing works in this fucking game!

To be more in-depth on the controls the gun pad fighting is much different. It is so different I really have a hard time explaining how it works. Stupid, low life zombie game based on that goddamn remake of Dawn of the Dead.

There are some challenges too in this game, ranging from killing so many zombies, being timed, and other bull shit that doesn’t matter. I really had no reason to play the challenges due to the controls.

If that isn’t enough for you there is a nice link to buy Dawn of the Dead through the movie store. I’m starting to think that this game was made just so more people would buy the movie on the movie store. Who gets the fuck you award, Universal or Apple?

Final Verdict
Dawn of the Dead has some of the worst controls in mobile gaming. There are so many zombie games out there that I see no real reason to buy this one. At the time of this review the game was free and it still is. Normally this shit hole costs $4.99, not sure why anyone would want to spend that kind of money on this game.
