Pillowfight Girls is a fighting game that tries to get your attention with two things, girls and pillows. I-play figures these two factors will get your credit card to be charged 99 cents. With that 99 cents you will make I-play happy and you can enjoy this fighter for about five seconds.

Here is a fighter that sucks to the very core of the developers who made it. The controls are a lot like Street Fighter IV, on the screen and easy to use. Well in Street Fighter IV they were easy to use and they were responsive. In Pillowfight Girls the controls are slow and they don’t seem to work too well. All you are trying to do is swing a fucking pillow and I-play made that aspect of the game unresponsive and bad.

Animations in these are atrocious. You want to talk about 8-bit Nintendo fighter then this game would be top competitor due to its real bad animations. The graphics though on the other hand aren’t too bad, more on the 16-bit kind of things, so that isn’t too bad. When you put the 99 cent price tag on it…fuck it. Why should I try to make I-play sound good for what they did?

In the description to the game, on the App Store, it teases you at unlocking new outfits in career mode. I did unlock more outfits and such but they didn’t get me aroused. Of all times I think it would have been better to show a little T&A in the game instead of putting outfits on characters that look unsexy. But hey at least Denisa will help out with her black outfit and high grey/black socks. Sort of sexy I guess but it doesn’t change the fact on this entire game.

Final Verdict
I really don’t know what I should say about this game. True I did get some of my words out but I really wanted to go on this huge tirade on how bad it is. Even for 99 cents I don’t know why anyone would buy this game. The description of this game makes it seem like it is the best fighter on the iPhone/iPod Touch. What I think Pillowfight Girls is a demo on what is to come in…wait for it…episode 2, which I bet will have a small fee attached to it.

Rating Breakdown
Gameplay: 3 out of 10
+ When you can get the touch buttons to respond its worth 99 cents and mildly fun.

- Want to know how often the buttons respond right? Not a whole lot to spend 99 cents.

Story: 2 out of 10
+ Make it to the top as a girl who fights with pillows. Sounds like a Showtime movie.
- Better than nothing I guess?

Graphics: 4 out of 10
+ Pretty decent 16-bit era graphics…

- With terrible 8-bit animations.

Audio: 1 out of 10
+ The audio that is in the game is not good at all, but at least there is something.
- Free App games have better audio than this piece of shit.

Replay Value: 2 out of 10
+ Showing your friends how you waste money is always worth a few plays.
- Being series…I wouldn’t want to touch this game again, not even if it was to save someone.
